Most Wanted Star Wars Mighty Muggs

I wanted to do a batch of Star Wars mighty muggs that I would love to see go into production. I also kinda wanted to do a batch of possible mighty muggs so that if or when these come out, I can compare my creation to the actual Hasbro ones. I have a buncha nerds betting that mine will look better than the actual releases. We'll see. I still need to catch Hasbro's attention so they can just hire me to do the muggs and that will solve everyone's problem, haha. Enjoy X-Wing Pilot Luke, Jabba the Hutt, Gamorrean Guard, Wicket W. Warrick, and the skittish Jawa!

Street Fighter Mighty Muggs

I've been having too much fun doing these Mighty Muggs mock-ups so I had to keep going. I decided for this batch I would do a handful of my favorite Street Fighter characters. Street Fighter has always had some of the best character design out there. It has inspired me since I was a kid and it still continues to do so. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then do a quick google search for Street Fighter and look through a couple of the fifty million fan sites out there.

And on that same note, when they made the Marvel vs. Capcom games, they did a handful of the big Marvel characters in Capcom style, which was like heaven in art form. That game is still a highly sought after collector's item and sells for around $70 on the X-Box whereas 99% of the other old games go for under $20 now. Awesome stuff.

Here's my Mighty Mugg Street Fighter series (which actually is a possibility since Hasbro has at some times held licenses to Street Fighter. I'm sure they could easily acquire them again.)

I've been mugged...Mighty Muggs!

Lately I've been totally obsessed with these Hasbro Mighty Muggs. Have you seen them? Lately Hasbro has been doing all kinds of universe crossovers which I consider to be a genius idea and grand thief of my time and money.

The latest universe mash-up is the nerd-hit Mighty Muggs. Currently the line carries characters from Star Wars, Marvel, and Indiana Jones. However very soon, G.I. Joe and Transformers will join them on the shelf.

I'm already trying to save some cash for Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Destro. I'm too much of a sucker for this kind of stuff. So much of a sucker that I've joined in on the huge nerdy custom scene that includes an entourage of artists and wannabes repainting and modifying existing Muggs into characters from He-Man to Bruce Willis to Ninja Turtles.

Not one to be left out, I've created the following concept pieces based on the Muggs form and if I ever get the money and time, I'll actually be buying some blank Muggs and painting these babies! Take a look and drop a line if you think there is some classic character that is just begging to be a Mugg that I need to turn my attention to.

There are so many that I want to do, I'll be adding more as I get time. There are some Street Fighters that will hunt me down and perfect K.O. me if I don't let them out of my head. I think I'll start with Sagat and Ryu.

If you would like to repost any of these images in your own blog or whatever, feel free to! Please just give me a link back or shout out or something (and as always, I'll take cold hard cash if you want.)

It Begins...wait, my cape is caught.

For some time now, I've had little to no one to share my nerdy gripes or joys with and so I decided to start a blog.  Now at least the ether and random google searches will also share my quest for nerdy nirvanna.  I'll post random art and sketches that I do and also complain about new developments in the various fields of the Dork Arts.  Hopefully my quest for fellow geeks in the machine will also prove fruitful.  Feel free to add comments or visit my art site at www.rockydavies.com or my apparel store at www.theMythic.com
